
Sheldon Named UMAA Chair
Ann Sheldon has been named chair of the
Alumni Association for the coming year. She
is the vice president of product security at
Medtronic, where
she and her team are
responsible for product
security requirements,
staying apprised of the
evolving security landscape and working with
industry peers through
advocacy groups.
Sheldon is passionate
about career development and facilitates
Lean In Circles through
the Medtronic Women’s Network. She also
coaches and mentors emerging leaders and
sponsors employee development programs,
and serves as an executive advisor to the
Medtronic PRIDE network.
Sheldon is also a certified professional
co-active Coach (CPCC), a member of the
International Coaching Federation (ICF) and
an associate certified coach (ACC). She has
served on the board of directors of her local
church, Achieve Services, and Emma Norton
Services. She and her husband, Tom, have been
married 32 years and have two adult children.
“It’s an honor to serve,” Sheldon says. “This Alumni Association was founded by alumni for alumni and for the last 118 years has been a mission-driven, self-governed association that works to ensure this University—the place alumni call home—benefits the people of Minnesota, the nation, and the world.”
