Feedback on the Summer 2022 issue

I loved the summer issue, and the old J-School grad in me was particularly impressed with the depth of the features.

The Dave Frishberg profile [“He Was Hip”], full of sharp detail, reminded me that I caught his act at the Algonquin Hotel in New York years ago.

He sang, among other of his hits, the great baseball melody “Van Lingle Mungo.” We chatted afterward, mostly about our shared St. Paul and U of M roots.

UMAA Throwback
In 1992, 30 years ago this month, what was then known as Minnesota magazine welcomed Gophers football Coach Jim Wacker to campus. Wacker, who died in August 2003, would run the football program for four years.
