Oh, Baby!

Each spring, the expert team at the U of M Raptor Center cares for more than 200 baby raptors in need, like these 2- to 4-day-old barred owls. This work is made possible by the generous support of the public through the Center’s annual Baby Shower fundraiser. The Raptor Center is also celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. On May 1, more than 1,700 graduating students attended the Alumni Association’s official Send Off party at McNamara Alumni Center. 

Guests were able to snap selfies, unwind before finals, sample food and drink from alumni-owned businesses, and receive a special U of M-themed gift from UMAA as a memento of their time here.

Celebrating 120 years in style

On April 26, nearly 500 alumni and friends joined the University of Minnesota Alumni Association to celebrate its founding 120 years ago. 

Guests at the McNamara Alumni Center reconnected and posed for a group shot, much as the original 300 founding members of the UMAA did 12 decades ago.
