Pharmacy Mentor Program

Program Goals:
  • - To introduce first-year pharmacy students to professional career opportunities under the mentorship of pharmacists working in a variety of practice and business settings
  • - To provide an observation opportunity for students and allow alumni/pharmacists an opportunity to meet students and contribute to the profession through mentoring
  • - To provide each student the opportunity to develop one-on-one relationships with practicing pharmacy professionals

Students Served:
First-year College of Pharmacy students on the Twin Cities and Duluth campuses

Mentor Profile:
Pharmacy Alumni Society board members and Minnesota pharmacists.  Interested mentors should see the Letter to Minnesota Pharmacists

Application process:
Mentors are recruited through the College of Pharmacy.
Students are required to participate throughout the first professional year.

Time Commitment:
Estimated 10 hours for both the Fall and Spring semesters

Approximate number of matches:
Students are matched with different mentors each semester. This includes mentors for 50 students on the Duluth campus and 105 students on the Twin Cities campus.
