Newly founded in 2006, the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences Alumni Society has more than 3,200 members. All graduates, students and friends of the college are eligible for active membership in the Society. The Society is responsible for a wide variety of successful initiatives, including:
- Sponsoring an alumni-student mentor program
- Hosting Classes Without Quizzes
- Supporting four $500 scholarship funds for undergraduates
- Coordinating business and industry tours for current students
- Hosting a golf scramble for scholarships that has raised nearly $100,000
- Honoring individuals through recognition program
With every new member, the Alumni Society of the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS) is able to offer more programs and services in support of the college and its students.
