Each year the University of Minnesota Alumni Association travels across the state talking about current University issues and the University’s impact on our state.
See upcoming tour dates here.This year our program will feature University of Minnesota physicians and researchers speaking on children’s health issues and the University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital, the largest and oldest children’s hospital in the state of Minnesota. The program, “Finding Tomorrow’s Answers Today,” will address such children's health topics as:

* Childhood Heart Disease
* Diabetes
* Newborn Screening
* Educating Future Pediatricians
* Stem Cell Therapies
* Repairing hearts
* treating hypertension
* improving outcomes of pre-mature birth

Tuesday, April 06, 2010Statewide Tour Visits New Ulm Rotary  Dr. Julia Steinberger, director of the Preventative Cardiology Program, Heart Center at the University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital will discuss the Preventative Cardiology Program and its focus on reducing the risk factors for developing heart disease.
