<< BackMascot Matchmaker: Love Was in the Air?
More than100 young alumni from the University of Minnesota and the University of Iowa gathered at Stella’s Fish Cafe in Minneapolis on June 2 for Mascot Matchmaker, a speed dating and alumni social event. Rotating on two-minute intervals, 43 men and 60 women were paired for quick meet-and-greet conversations. Following the event, attendees with matching “yes” responses on confidential match forms were sent each others’ e-mail addresses.
Feedback from the Alumni Association’s first Mascot Matchmaker event has been overwhelmingly positive. One alumna shared, “The speed dating event was a lot of fun and a great way to meet new people! Not only did I meet some potentially great guys, but it was a fun way to connect with other girls who live in the area.”
